CI/CD and Production Rollout

This page describes the operator mindset for shipping orchestration changes safely.

Release Principles

  • keep support-matrix assumptions explicit
  • prove both compile-time and execution-time behavior where relevant
  • treat docs, CI, and compatibility as part of the product surface
  1. validate local quality and targeted tests
  2. run adapter-specific CI lanes
  3. confirm security and summary gates
  4. publish artifacts only after the blocking matrix is green
  5. verify public documentation and release automation

Environment Strategy

  • development: fast feedback, local fixtures, soft warning review
  • staging: integration-style execution and notification dry runs
  • production: deterministic versions, monitored rollout, rollback path

What To Verify Before Release

  • host adapter compatibility
  • engine compatibility and preflight behavior
  • secret and notification configuration
  • public docs accuracy and visibility on the integrated site

Incident Readiness

Before production rollout, decide:

  • which failures are blocking
  • who receives warning versus critical notifications
  • how tenant isolation and secret failures are surfaced
  • how to rollback or pause an orchestration rollout
